Kuching City FC coach urges patience after Piala FA draw

Kuching City FC head coach Aidil Sharin Sahak has called for patience from supporters following a scoreless draw against Kelantan City FC in the first leg of the Piala FA quarter-finals. The match, held at Stadium Sultan Muhammad IV, saw both teams reduced to 10 players after red cards were issued to Nazri Muhamad and Jerome Mpacko Etame.

Aidil noted that while his team dominated possession, they struggled to capitalize on scoring opportunities, even when the opposition was playing with fewer men. He attributed the difficulty to player fatigue, noting the squad has endured a grueling stretch of eight consecutive away matches involving constant travel.

The coach intends to use the FIFA international break to allow the players to reset and recover. Kuching City FC, currently sitting second in the league, will look to leverage their home-field advantage during the second leg at Stadium Sarawak on October 10.
