Kuching City FC faces uphill battle after FA Cup loss to Selangor FC

Kuching City FC suffered a 1-2 defeat against Selangor FC in the first leg of the FA Cup semi-finals at MBPJ Stadium. Despite an early lead through a goal by Ramadhan Saifullah in the 9th minute, Selangor responded with two goals, including a strike from Eduardo Sosa, to secure the win.

Following the match, Kuching City head coach Aidil Sharin Sahak expressed optimism regarding the second leg scheduled for November 8. He stated that the team's chances of reaching the final remain open and emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive mindset and relying on player experience to overcome the deficit.

While the coach praised the players' commitment and attacking intent, supporters have expressed frustration over the team's recent form. Specifically, player Safawi Rasid has faced criticism from fans for failing to make a significant impact on the pitch and struggling to adapt to the team's pace, despite his high reputation in domestic football.
