Kuching City FC shifts focus to ACL2 after victory over Melaka

Kuching City FC secured a 2-1 victory against Melaka FC at Hang Jebat Stadium, despite playing with only 10 men after Yuki Tanigawa received a red card. Jerome Mpacko Etame opened the scoring for the visitors in the 26th minute, but Melaka equalized through Do Donghyun in the 90th minute. Ronald Ngah ultimately scored a late winning goal to secure three points for the Sarawak-based side.

Following the win, head coach Aidil Sharin Sahak stated the team must immediately shift focus to the AFC Champions League Two (ACL2). The squad is scheduled to travel to Cambodia to face Phnom Penh Crown FC on September 17 in a Group H fixture. Aidil noted that the team will prioritize physical and mental recovery to prepare for the international competition, despite facing challenges with limited recovery facilities while traveling.
