Kuehne+Nagel to build new logistics facility in Cambodia

Kuehne+Nagel is investing in a new Container Freight Station (CFS) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to expand its logistics capabilities in the region. The facility, which is expected to be completed by June 2027, will provide over 20,000 square meters of warehouse space and will more than triple the company’s existing CFS capacity in the country.

The site is strategically located near major transport hubs, including the Phnom Penh International Airport, the Phnom Penh Autonomous Port, and the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port. It also offers road connectivity to Thailand and Vietnam, facilitating regional trade and cargo movement. The facility is designed to support the consumer goods industry in managing growing trade volumes and navigating volatile supply chains.

Planned sustainability features for the facility include solar panels, LED lighting, battery-operated forklifts, and rainwater harvesting systems. The warehouse will feature a floor loading capacity of five tonnes per square meter and aims to meet ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.
