Kuehne+Nagel logistics expansion in Cambodia
Overview
Kuehne+Nagel has announced plans to invest in a new 20,000 square meter Container Freight Station (CFS) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The facility is scheduled for completion by June 2027 and is expected to more than triple the company’s existing CFS capacity within the country.
Strategically located near the Phnom Penh International Airport, the Phnom Penh Autonomous Port, and the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port, the site aims to enhance cross-border connectivity between Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The warehouse is designed to support the consumer goods industry by managing growing trade volumes and volatile supply chains.
The facility will feature a floor loading capacity of five tonnes per square metre and is intended to meet ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards. Planned sustainability measures include solar panels, LED lighting, rainwater harvesting systems, and the use of battery-operated forklifts.
