Kuju Flower Park to host autumn night illumination event

Kuju Flower Park, located within Aso-Kuju National Park in Taketa, Oita Prefecture, has announced its “Night Flower Park Autumn” event for October 2026. The special nighttime operation will take place over five limited days: October 3, 10, 11, 24, and 31.

Set at an altitude of 850 meters on the Kuju Plateau, the event focuses on a gentle illumination style designed to highlight the natural beauty of autumn flowers rather than using intense flashing lights. Key attractions include the viewing of red Kochia, cockscomb, and other seasonal blooms under soft lighting, alongside the opportunity to view the starry night sky, which is a notable feature of the region due to low light pollution.

The nighttime hours are scheduled from 18:00 to 21:00. Admission for adults (high school students and above) is 1,000 yen, and 400 yen for children aged five and older.
