Kukri returns to Águia de Marabá after Coritiba loan termination
Midfielder Kukri is returning to Águia de Marabá following the termination of his loan agreement with Coritiba. The player, who was playing for Coritiba’s under-20 squad, had faced difficulties adapting to the club, including missing scheduled presentations which led to official notifications from Coritiba to both the player and Águia de Marabá.
The termination of the loan includes a provision stating that if Kukri is transferred to another club in the future, Coritiba will be entitled to 20% of his economic rights. While the previous agreement included an option for Coritiba to acquire 70% of his rights for up to R$ 1 million, that specific configuration is no longer in effect.
Reports indicate that representatives have been seeking an amicable rescission to avoid a contract fine of approximately R$ 2 million, which would otherwise prevent the player from playing professionally unless paid. Águia de Marabá's management is currently evaluating the player's future and his role for the 2027 season.
