Kumamoto Earthquake relief efforts see significant donations and store reopenings

Various organizations are contributing to disaster recovery efforts following the Reiwa 8 Kumamoto Earthquake. Trial Holdings announced that its multi-faceted fundraising campaign—including in-store donations, point donations via the SU-PAY app, and the ‘Gamadase Kumamoto’ support project—raised a total of 116,954,858 yen. These funds will be donated to the Kumamoto Prefectural Government. Additionally, the Super Center Trial Uki store, which had suspended operations due to the earthquake, officially reopened on October 23, 2026, marking the full reopening of all 15 Trial locations within Kumamoto Prefecture.

In a separate contribution, the food wholesaler Toho donated 3,158,000 yen to Yatsushiro City in Kumamoto Prefecture. This amount was comprised of 1,483,600 yen from the company and 674,400 yen raised from group employees through a social contribution shareholder incentive program.
