Kumanovo, Macedonia floods cleared as heavy rain subsides

Intense rain on July 1 caused streets in Kumanovo, North Macedonia, to flood and left debris, sand and sewage overflows. Municipal mayor Maksim Dimitrievski said public‑enterprise crews and contracted firms began immediate clean‑up of debris, drainage shafts and road surfaces, with full road rehabilitation to follow.

Residents whose homes were flooded were urged to contact the Kumanovo Territorial Fire Unit at 193 for water‑pumping assistance. The municipality continues to monitor the situation and plans thorough disinfection of affected streets later in the evening.
