Kumasi Sec. Tech. Leads Ashanti NSMQ Qualifiers with Record Score

Kumasi Secondary Technical School achieved the highest score in the Ashanti Regional Qualifiers for the 2026 National Science & Maths Quiz, posting 71 points. The performance secured the school's place at the national championship and placed it well ahead of Bosomtwe Boys' STEM High School (22 points), Al‑Azhariya Islamic SHS (11 points) and Barekese SHS (9 points).

On the final day of the regional contests, Tepa Secondary School dominated Contest 19 with 61 points, Kumasi High School won Contest 20 with 58 points, and Yaa Asantewaa Girls' Senior High School led Contest 21 with 48 points. The Ashanti region, a traditional stronghold of the competition, will continue its qualifiers on July 31, with schools vying for the remaining slots at the national stage.
