Kumluca District Conducts Summer Safety Inspections of Swimming Areas
Local authorities in Kumluca district of Antalya province carried out inspections of swimming areas at hotels and beach resorts as the summer season began. The district inspection commission, chaired by Youth and Sports director Erol Koca, included representatives from the gendarmerie, municipality, police, coast guard, education, agriculture, health, and the nearby Finike port. Inspectors checked lifeguard towers, verified that staff were on duty, and assessed the adequacy of emergency equipment at sites such as the Rizzom Hotel, Sah‑Inn Paradise holiday village and Adrasan facilities.
Erol Koca said, “Our aim is to minimise any negative incidents and drownings; the commission will continue monitoring swimming areas throughout the season.” The ongoing checks are intended to reduce drowning incidents during the busy beach period.
