Kurt Busch, the 2004 Cup Series champion and Hall of Famer, has spoken publicly for the first time regarding the death of his brother, two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch.

Kyle Busch passed away on May 21 at age 41 due to severe pneumonia that progressed into sepsis. The illness began suddenly on May 20 while he was testing in a Chevrolet simulator. Kurt Busch described the rapid deterioration of his brother's health and recalled being present at the hospital during his final moments.

Reflecting on their relationship, Kurt Busch noted the unique connection the brothers shared on the racetrack, describing them as “carbon copies” who could communicate without words while racing in NASCAR's premier division.
