Kaşif Kozinoğlu death probe includes 'Kurtlar Vadisi' investigation

The Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has reopened the investigation into the 2011 death of former MİT officer Kaşif Kozinoğlu in Silivri Prison. As part of this probe, the popular television series 'Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu' is under scrutiny. Prosecutors are investigating whether the show's fictional character, Kazım Kaşifoğlu, whose death in the series closely mirrored Kozinoğlu's real-life passing, was used to convey coded messages or propaganda for the FETÖ/PDY organization.

Senarists Raci Şaşmaz, Bahadır Özdener, and Cüneyt Aysan provided testimony as information holders. Raci Şaşmaz denied any links to illegal organizations or FETÖ, asserting that the series is a work of fiction based on open sources. He stated that the Kaşifoğlu character was created to depict intelligence conflicts and has no connection to real-life events.

Additionally, the investigation is examining technical details, such as vehicle license plates containing the letters 'FG' seen in the series, and whether specific scenes contained hidden instructions or propaganda. Medical technicians involved in the 2011 incident testified that no doctor was present in the prison ambulance at the time of Kozinoğlu's death. The legal process continues, with journalist Selahattin Günday facing a second arrest warrant in connection with the case.
