Kutablang A Bridge in Aceh completed and opened to traffic

The permanent Kutablang A Bridge in Bireuen Regency, Aceh, has been completed and opened to public traffic on September 20, 2026. Located on the national route between Banda Aceh and Medan, the bridge serves as a critical piece of infrastructure in the Tingkeum Manyang village area.

The construction project, managed by the Ministry of Public Works, had a contract value of Rp107.5 billion, part of a larger Rp251 billion comprehensive infrastructure and emergency handling package. The works included the installation of a Bailey bridge, the construction of a main steel girder structure using incremental launching technology, and the casting of concrete parapet safety walls.

While originally scheduled for completion in late July 2026, the project faced a temporary halt due to the transition from emergency response to reconstruction phases. Safrizal ZA, head of the Aceh Regional Post for the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Acceleration Task Force, expressed appreciation for the cooperation between the Ministry of Public Works, the Bireuen Regency Government, PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk, and local contractor PT Krueng Meuh.
