Kuyavian‑Pomeranian region hosts senior activity conference and awards
On 5 May 2026 the Chojnice Cultural Centre hosted the "Active and Safe Senior" conference organized by OWES Debrzno and the municipal authorities. The program covered cyber‑security, protection of personal data such as the PESEL number, legal forms for senior groups, social engagement practices, health‑focused activities like yoga, and sources of funding for senior initiatives.
Later in the same week, the Voivodeship Office in Bydgoszcz held the "Kujawsko‑Pomorskie Senior Initiatives" meeting. Representatives of senior organisations exchanged experiences, learned how to apply for project funding, and presented award‑winning projects. Awards were given to the Tradycja i Rozwój association (Rypin) for university‑level senior programmes, the DUM SPIRO SPERO foundation (Bydgoszcz) for active‑health workshops, and the BORY association (Lubiewo) for the V Lubiewska Senior Sports Olympiad.
