Kyiv faces increasing hardship from Russian missile and drone attacks

Daily life in Kyiv is facing increasing hardship due to intensified Russian attacks. Since late May, the Ukrainian capital has experienced frequent ballistic missile strikes, occurring on average every third night. These attacks often strike before air raid sirens can be activated.

In addition to missiles, the city is being targeted by fast-moving reactive drones that travel at speeds of 500 to 600 kilometers per hour. The constant barrage has led to frequent air raid alerts, sometimes lasting between ten and eleven hours a day, forcing residents to constantly adapt to the disruption.

The strikes have also caused significant logistical issues. Many local grocery stores have posted notices informing customers of impending goods shortages caused by the destruction of essential warehouses during enemy attacks. The situation is exacerbated by a shortage of air defense missiles in Ukraine.
