Kyle Busch legacy honored in NASCAR 26 and Hall of Fame debates

Following the death of two-time Cup Series champion Kyle Busch in May due to sepsis, tributes and debates regarding his legacy are emerging within the NASCAR community.

iRacing Studios announced that the upcoming NASCAR 26 video game will include a tribute to Busch. He will be a selectable driver in Quick Race and Multiplayer modes, and a special tribute sticker will be available in the car creator mode. Matt Lewis, iRacing’s Director of Production, stated that they worked closely with the Busch family and NASCAR to ensure the tribute is handled respectfully.

Meanwhile, Kurt Busch has addressed calls to fast-track his late brother’s induction into the NASCAR Hall of Fame. While acknowledging that Kyle is an obvious Hall of Famer with 233 career victories across NASCAR’s top three series, Kurt expressed a preference for sticking to established traditions rather than rushing the process. He noted that while the statistics and impact are undeniable, the sport should follow its standard eligibility timelines.
