Brexton Busch honors late father Kyle Busch at Charlotte memorial
More than 10,000 fans gathered at Charlotte Motor Speedway for a celebration of life honoring late NASCAR champion Kyle Busch. The event featured emotional tributes from his widow, Samantha Busch, and fellow racing figures including Kurt Busch, Joe Gibbs, and drivers Kyle Larson and Bubba Wallace.
During the ceremony, Busch’s 11-year-old son, Brexton, performed a tribute by driving his father’s No. 8 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet. Brexton executed a burnout until the tires went flat and then climbed onto the car to perform his father’s signature victory bow with a checkered flag provided by his sister, Lennix.
Kyle Busch passed away on May 21 at age 41 due to complications from bacterial pneumonia and sepsis. In a related tribute, Lionel Racing announced a limited-edition collectible Kyle Busch Tribute Hauler, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund.
