Kyle Larson to honor Kyle Busch with throwback paint scheme

NASCAR driver Kyle Larson will use a special throwback paint scheme to honor the late Kyle Busch during the Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on October 4. Driving the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet, Larson will feature a yellow and blue design with red trim, modeled after Busch’s 2007 palette. While the colors reflect Busch’s former sponsors, Carquest and Kellogg’s, Larson will maintain his current sponsor, Hendrickcars.com.

Larson noted the significance of the tribute, stating that Busch was the best driver he has competed against and that they shared the same racing number. A portion of merchandise sales from the tribute will benefit the Busch family’s Bundle of Joy Fund, which supports couples facing infertility.

In separate comments regarding team developments, Larson expressed support for Corey Day’s re-signing with Hendrick Motorsports and discussed the team's progress at the World Wide Technology Raceway.
