Kylian Mbappé resumes individual training at Real Madrid
Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé has returned to individual training at Valdebebas following a knee injury sustained during an international match against Turkey. The injury, identified as a hyperextension of the posterior capsule of the left knee, has kept him sidelined for approximately ten days. While the club remains optimistic about his availability for the upcoming match against Villarreal, the player has been at the center of media controversy.
Mbappé sparked debate after posting social media videos of himself using a treadmill and riding a bicycle during his recovery. These posts were interpreted by some as a response to recent comments by Real Madrid manager José Mourinho, who warned players against activities like cycling or skiing due to the risk of falls and further injury. Mbappé accompanied his footage with a song titled ‘Les gentils, les méchants’ (The nice ones, the bad ones), which many viewed as an ironic message to his critics.
Despite the social media scrutiny and reports of his presence in Paris and Switzerland during his recovery, Real Madrid has stated that his movements were coordinated with the medical staff. The player is currently working on a solo program to regain full fitness.
