Kylian Mbappé avoids surgery after knee injury during France match

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé has avoided surgery after sustaining a knee injury while playing for France against Turkey in a UEFA Nations League match. The player felt pain after scoring the opening goal and made the decision to leave the pitch, a move that medical assessments suggest prevented a much more severe injury that could have threatened his entire season.

Medical tests have diagnosed Mbappé with a hyperextension of the posterior capsule in his left knee. He has already begun rehabilitation at Valdebebas and is expected to be sidelined for approximately 10 to 12 days. While he may theoretically be ready for Real Madrid’s match against Villarreal on October 10, the club is expected to manage his return with extreme caution due to upcoming high-stakes fixtures, including Champions League matches and El Clásico.

Real Madrid officials remained in close contact with the French Football Federation’s medical staff throughout the evaluation process to monitor the situation and mitigate long-term risks.
