French forward Kylian Mbappé will appear on the cover of the Ultimate Edition of EA Sports FC 27, marking his first cover appearance since the series lost the FIFA licence after FIFA 23. He also features on the cover of the mobile version of the game. EA announced a series of upcoming announcements, with the first gameplay trailer scheduled for 23 July and the full game set to launch on 25 September. In a promotional statement Mbappé said, “it is a very special moment to be on the cover of an EA Sports FC title for the first time.” Jeff Sharma, EA Sports FC’s vice‑president of strategy and marketing, highlighted Mbappé’s global appeal and recent performances for Real Madrid and France. A new gameplay deep‑dive revealed enhanced defending mechanics, improved tackling and updated play‑style options such as refined finesse shots and technical dribblers, aiming to deliver a distinctly fresh experience over the previous installment.
