Kymco Vietnam launches premium People R 125 and Sky Town 150 scooters

On 18 July 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City, Kymco Vietnam unveiled two new premium scooters, the People R 125 and the Sky Town 150. Both models are equipped with dual‑channel ABS, traction‑control (TCS) and smart‑lock systems.

The People R 125 follows a European high‑wheel design, uses a 125 cc fuel‑injected engine paired with an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) and Kymco’s TRI‑POWER TECH, which promises rapid acceleration, lower fuel consumption and unlimited electric power. The model was first shown at the EICMA Milan show in 2025 and is already exported to France.

The Sky Town 150 is a maxi‑scooter with a 150 cc engine, large windscreen, USB charging port and a 28‑litre storage compartment. It is produced and assembled locally for the Vietnamese market, while the global version sells more than 10 000 units a year. Both scooters aim to meet international standards and to strengthen Kymco’s premium offering in Vietnam.
