Kymco expands premium and regional scooter lineup

Overview

In July 2026, Kymco Vietnam unveiled two premium scooters for the local market: the People R 125, featuring a high-wheel European design and an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) with “TRI-POWER TECH,” and the Sky Town 150 maxi-scooter. Both models include dual-channel ABS, traction control, and smart-lock technology. While the People R 125 was previously shown at EICMA Milan, the Sky Town 150 is produced and assembled locally in Vietnam.

Following this, Kymco introduced the Agility NX 125 in Spain to replace the Agility S 125. This model features a Euro 5+ compliant 125cc engine, dual-channel ABS, traction control, and full-LED lighting. In early August 2026, the fourth-generation Agility NX 125 launched in Greece, branded as the “Next Generation” (NX). This version includes a redesigned front with LED headlights, a digital LCD instrument panel, dual disc brakes with four-piston calipers, and expanded storage capacity.

Kymco further expanded its regional presence in late August 2026. In Malaysia, MODENAS launched the KYMCO XCITING VS 400, a 400cc sport-touring maxi-scooter equipped with ABS and traction control. Simultaneously, in Taiwan, Kymco introduced the K1 E, an entry-level version of its K1 series designed for budget-conscious consumers. The K1 E features simplified specifications, such as halogen headlights and an analog instrument cluster, while maintaining practical elements like USB Type-A fast charging.
