Tajik President Rahmon and Mongolian Prime Minister Uchral Discuss Expanded Trade and Energy Cooperation
President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan and Prime Minister Nyam‑Osorin Uchral of Mongolia met in Ulaanbaatar to reinforce bilateral ties and broaden cooperation across political, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields. The leaders highlighted sectors for future joint projects, naming hydropower, livestock farming, mining, and geology as priority areas. They discussed initiatives to process and export organic agricultural products, establish joint ventures for livestock processing, and create a Joint Council of Entrepreneurs to facilitate business investment. Both sides also pledged to enhance people‑to‑people exchanges through higher‑education, research and tourism collaborations, and welcomed the upcoming Tajikistan‑Mongolia Business Forum in Ulaanbaatar.
