Kyushu food pop‑ups: Tsuzumi Dango sweets and Fukuoka summer fruit fair

A pop‑up shop of the popular wagashi maker Tsuzumi Dango opened for two days at Riverwalk Kitakyushu in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, on July 25‑26, 2026. The stall offered its signature dango, warabi‑mochi, daifuku and specialty items such as anko‑filled mitarashi dango, operating from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in a temporary space in front of the Gran Jewel building.

Separately, a summer fruit fair showcasing Fukuoka‑grown grapes and pears began on July 24, with participating venues in Tokyo, Kyoto and several stores across Fukuoka. The fair runs at different locations through early August, featuring menus that highlight the region’s high‑sugar‑content fruit, and allows purchases through the JA Town online shop.
