La Araucanía Regional Prosecutor candidates present proposals

Five candidates are competing for the position of Regional Prosecutor of La Araucanía in Chile. The candidates—Alberto Chiffelle Márquez, Héctor Leiva Martínez, José Ramírez Berenguer, Claudia Turra Lagos, and Cristian Voullieme León—presented their proposals before the Temuco Court of Appeals on Tuesday, August 25.

The public hearing aims to establish a shortlist of three finalists, who will then be submitted to the National Prosecutor for final selection. This process follows the departure of Roberto Garrido Bedwell, who left the regional post after being appointed as the Regional Prosecutor of Biobío.
