La Barca authorities alert residents to possible tiger sighting

Authorities in La Barca, Jalisco, have issued a preventive alert following reports of a large feline, possibly a tiger, in rural areas. The sightings have been reported in the paths connecting San José de las Moras with the limits of La Providencia.

Civil Protection and Firefighters are currently conducting search operations to locate and verify the species of the animal. While citizen reports suggest the animal may be a tiger, officials have not yet confirmed the exact species.

Residents are advised to avoid traveling through the specified rural paths and to exercise extreme caution. Authorities have specifically requested that children and the elderly avoid these areas. Citizens are urged not to attempt to pursue, capture, or scare the animal, but instead to maintain a safe distance and report sightings immediately to emergency services.
