La Granja VIP participants engage in intense verbal confrontations

The second season of the TV Azteca reality show ‘La Granja VIP’ has seen significant conflict among its participants. A major verbal altercation occurred between Niurka Marcos and Manelyk González, sparked by a discussion regarding the pronunciation of the word ‘reels’. The confrontation escalated into personal insults, with Niurka calling Manelyk a ‘fish-brained stupid’ and Manelyk questioning Niurka’s professional trajectory.

In addition to the clash between Marcos and González, Manelyk González also engaged in a confrontation with Rafael Mercadante. During a nomination assembly, Manelyk accused Mercadante of making an inappropriate comment in the dressing rooms, an allegation Mercadante denied, claiming his words were misunderstood.

The program has also introduced a new dynamic called ‘the burial’ (el entierro), where non-nominated participants cast votes to prevent a nominee from participating in a salvation challenge. In the first week, Rafa Mercadante received the most votes under this rule, leading to emotional reactions from fellow contestant ‘El Bicolor’.
