La Guajira concludes participation as guest of honor at Sabor Barranquilla

The department of La Guajira concluded its participation as the guest of honor at the 19th edition of Sabor Barranquilla. Over a four-day period, more than 15,000 visitors attended the pavilion titled ‘Descubre La Guajira, donde los sabores cuentan historias’, which showcased the region's gastronomy, culture, music, and local entrepreneurship.

Organized by the Gobernación de La Guajira with support from Governor Jairo Alfonso Aguilar Deluque, the event featured live cooking demonstrations by chefs such as José Luis Cotes, Randy Yasith Montiel Pushaina, Zaida Cotes Aguilar, and Betsy Viviana Sierra Gutiérrez. These sessions highlighted traditional ingredients and techniques unique to the department.

The cultural program included musical and dance performances by AMA La Academia and the composer Rafael Manjarrez. Additionally, various local businesses, including Kaaura, Dulce Renacer, Cocoana, and Almirante Cerveza Artesanal, presented their products to promote the department as a tourist destination.
