La Laguna offers interest-free municipal tax installments

The La Laguna City Council is offering a personalized payment plan that allows citizens to split municipal tax payments into up to 11 interest-free installments. To date, 3,855 taxpayers have utilized this program, through which the council is managing over 2.3 million euros.

Taxpayers can choose from three different payment modalities: four installments (February, May, August, and November), six installments (February, April, June, August, October, and November), or 11 installments covering every month except December. The plan is designed to help families and small businesses manage liquidity by avoiding large, single annual payments.

Eligible taxes include the Property Tax (IBI), vehicle circulation tax, waste collection fees, and vehicle access fees (vados). Payments are managed via automatic bank direct debit. To participate, residents must not have outstanding debts in executive proceedings with the City Council. Applications can be submitted through the municipal electronic office or in person at municipal collection and citizen service offices.
