La Palma to host El Talentón youth entrepreneurship grand final

The Teatro Circo de Marte in Santa Cruz de La Palma will host the regional grand final of the second edition of ‘El Talentón’ on Saturday, September 12. This initiative is designed to promote entrepreneurship, creativity, and innovation among the youth of the Canary Islands.

Nine projects from all eight islands have been selected to present their initiatives to a jury and the public. The competition aims to transform initial ideas into viable, innovative solutions capable of generating a positive impact within the archipelago. To facilitate this transition from concept to reality, each finalist team received 1,500 euros in funding to develop a minimum viable product (MVP), supplemented by mentorship in areas such as technology, marketing, and finance.

Estefanía Castro, co-founder and Co-CEO of El Talentón, emphasized that the program's goal was to ensure projects moved beyond mere paper proposals through specialized support and validation.
