Argentina business leaders demand economic agenda amid industrial decline FAST-MOVING

Various regional developments are occurring across Argentina. In Rosario, a major meeting titled ‘Argentina Produce: Diálogo que Construye’ brought together over 300 leaders from business chambers (CAME, FISFE, ADIMRA) and the CGT union. They issued a joint call for a new economic and social development agenda, citing the severe deterioration of industry, job losses, and declining consumption. Leaders noted that since December 2023, the country has lost over 300,000 formal jobs and 30,000 SMEs.

In other provinces, economic and social initiatives continue. Catamarca held a forum on markets and financing for local companies, while Córdoba implemented industrial promotion benefits and commercial infrastructure works in San Justo. In Moreno, the local industrial park reported that 80% of its recently acquired land is already committed. Chubut is actively promoting tourism through a commercial tour across several major cities, and La Pampa is participating in interprovincial business rounds with Buenos Aires to expand market reach.

Community and cultural events also feature prominently, including a marathon in Corrientes to celebrate carnival spirit and the centennial celebration of the Instituto Superior San José in Eldorado. Additionally, Dolores presented its tourism and production potential at the Canning 2026 event to attract investors.
