Buenos Aires and La Pampa business round
Overview
The provinces of Buenos Aires and La Pampa organized an Interprovincial Business Round to be held on August 27 in Carlos Casares. The event, coordinated by the respective Ministries of Production, was designed to foster exchange between companies, cooperatives, and productive sector actors to drive regional development and strengthen commercial ties.
By the time of the event, more than 40 companies from La Pampa were set to participate, representing various locations such as Santa Rosa, General Pico, and Toay. These participants spanned multiple sectors, including industry, metallurgy, construction, technology, renewable energy, and food. Production Minister Fernanda González stated that such rounds provide “concrete tools for companies to expand their markets and generate new clients” by facilitating meetings between suppliers, clients, and strategic partners.
This business round is part of a broader wave of regional economic and industrial development initiatives across Argentina. In Rosario, the ‘Argentina Produce: Diálogo que Construye’ meeting brought together over 300 leaders from business chambers—including CAME, FISFE, and ADIMRA—and the CGT union. These leaders issued a joint call for a new economic and social development agenda, citing a severe deterioration of industry, job losses, and declining consumption. They noted that since December 2023, the country has lost over 300,000 formal jobs and 30,000 SMEs.
Other regional activities include a forum on markets and financing in Catamarca, industrial promotion benefits in Córdoba, and the expansion of the Moreno Industrial Park, where 80% of recently acquired land is already committed. Additionally, Chubut is promoting tourism, and Dolores is presenting its production potential at the Canning 2026 event to attract investors.
