Argentine agricultural sector receives new credits and policy calls

Various regional agricultural exhibitions across Argentina have highlighted new financial support and policy demands for the agro-industrial sector. In La Pampa, Governor Sergio Ziliotto announced $55 billion in credits through Banco de La Pampa to support livestock retention, calf rearing, and crop planting. These loans feature interest rate subsidies and exemptions from gross income tax to bolster production and infrastructure.

In Córdoba, Governor Martín Llaryora participated in the Adelia María Rural Expo, where he advocated for the 'Cordobés model' of public-private cooperation. He called for national policies to industrialize raw materials, the elimination of export retentions, and the passage of a biofuels law to increase competitiveness and local employment. Additionally, Llaryora attended the 140th anniversary of San Francisco, reinforcing the importance of institutional consensus for provincial development.

Other regional events included the 142nd Villa Bordeu Rural Exhibition, which showcased high-level Angus livestock genetics, and the San Francisco Expone 2026, which concluded with community festivities and agricultural showcases.
