Argentine agricultural and economic development initiatives

Overview

Agricultural and economic development initiatives continue to expand across various Argentine provinces through financial support, policy advocacy, and technological integration.

In Entre Ríos, Governor Rogelio Frigerio and the Federal Investment Council (CFI) are driving agroindustrial growth. The province leads the national ranking for CFI productive credits, maintaining a placement rate of 105.3 percent. Recent efforts include visits to Integrity Argentina SA in Colonia Ayuí to support solar energy and fruit production, as well as Marcos Schmukler SA in San Salvador, where CFI financing is enabling the rice company to acquire machinery to double production capacity.

In General Racedo, Governor Frigerio delivered the official adherence to the Regime of Incentives for New Investments (RINI) at the Motta Group’s Calisa 2 plant. This $45 million investment aims to expand production and strengthen international market presence in the poultry sector. Additionally, the provincial government is advancing its Good Dairy Practices (BPL) program to enhance the local dairy chain. The program, which includes 32 participating farms such as Lácteos LW in Espinillo Norte, provides specialist assistance for milk, water, and soil diagnostics, alongside financial tools like ‘Valor Producto’ credits to optimize management and quality.

In Córdoba, provincial investment programs support industrial expansion, such as a new egg processing plant by Kutan Industrial S.A. Efforts in Buenos Aires province remain focused on commercial networking, including a multisectoral business round in Zárate. In San Isidro, local authorities have launched a Startup Network and a local ‘RIGI’ to attract technology firms, while regional efforts increasingly incorporate AI training and digital transformation tools.
