Argentine provinces pursue international trade and energy cooperation

Argentine provinces are conducting diplomatic and commercial missions to strengthen international ties. In Chaco, Governor Leandro Zdero led a mission to Milan, Italy, to meet with the Associazione Italiana Commercio Estero (AICE) and representatives from Salone del Mobile. The delegation promoted Chaco’s productive potential in sectors such as honey, wood, cotton, and agro-industry, seeking to connect local businesses with European markets and attract industrial investment.

In La Pampa, Governor Sergio Ziliotto met with the Portuguese Ambassador, Gonçalo Teles Gomes, to discuss cooperation in renewable energy and technology. The discussions focused on leveraging Portugal’s expertise in solar energy to support La Pampa’s strategic energy transition, including projects like the General Pico Solar Park. The meeting aimed to facilitate links between Portuguese companies and provincial energy and technological sectors.

Separately, in Formosa, provincial authorities and the Federal Council of Investment (CFI) conducted a technical tour of the western region. The mission focused on the hydrocarbon sector, inspecting oil fields and lithium carbonate production plants, while also supporting local indigenous communities by promoting artisanal products through the “Champal” brand.
