La Pampa police trainees undergo emergency medical simulation training
Police aspirants and cadets from the Instituto Superior Policial (ISP) in La Pampa are undergoing practical training at the Clinical Simulation Center of the Favaloro-Molas Hospital Complex. This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Ministries of Security and Justice and the Ministry of Health through the Coordination of Disasters and Sanitary Emergencies (CODES).
The training aims to strengthen the first response capabilities of police officers during emergencies before specialized medical teams arrive. The curriculum includes cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of automated external defibrillators (AED), hemorrhage control, tourniquet application, emergency childbirth assistance, trauma assessment, and response to drowning or airway obstructions.
The program follows a simulation-based methodology to recreate critical situations in a controlled environment. The training schedule includes multiple groups of aspirants and cadets scheduled throughout September and October.
