Two assailants on a motorcycle intercepted an administrative employee in La Plata, Argentina, stealing a large sum of money intended for staff salaries. The victim, identified as Emiliano Matías Veliz, was assaulted with the butt of a firearm at the entrance of the company Imperio in the Ringuelet area.
Following an investigation by the Grupo Táctico Operativo (GTO), authorities identified a potential inside connection. A company employee, Josué Emmanuel Suffi, was arrested after showing suspicious behavior regarding the victim's movements and schedule. During the operation, police seized approximately 4,820,000 pesos in high-denomination bills, along with ammunition and a mobile phone.
The stolen amount was reported to be between 25 and 30 million pesos, intended for workers involved in manufacturing and loading operations. While one suspect is in custody facing charges of qualified robbery, the search for a second accomplice continues.
