Armed robbery of employee salaries in La Plata
Overview
In La Plata, Argentina, two assailants on a motorcycle intercepted an administrative employee at the entrance of the company Imperio in the Ringuelet area. The attackers used a firearm to assault the victim, stealing between 25 and 30 million pesos intended for manufacturing and loading staff salaries.
Following an investigation by the Grupo Táctico Operativo (GTO), authorities arrested a company employee, Josué Emmanuel Suffi, on suspicion of having inside knowledge of the victim’s schedule. Police seized approximately 4,820,000 pesos in high-denomination bills, ammunition, and a mobile phone during the operation. While one suspect is in custody facing charges of qualified robbery, the search for a second accomplice remains ongoing.
