La Poste to raise stamp and parcel prices by up to 10% in 2027
France’s state‑owned postal group La Poste announced that, from 1 January 2027, the average price of stamps and parcels will rise by 6.73 %. The most notable increase is for the “Lettre verte” (green letter), which will climb by almost 10 % to €1.67 from €1.52. Other price adjustments include the “Lettre services plus” to €3.67, the “e‑lettre rouge” to €1.70, and the “Lettre recommandée” to €6.47. The international letter will be set at €2.45.
Colissimo parcel fees for domestic and international shipments to mainland France will increase by about 4.1 %, while shipments between mainland France and overseas territories will see a 5 % tariff reduction. La Poste justified the hikes as necessary to preserve the universal postal service’s quality amid a long‑term decline in mail volume. The changes follow a regulatory framework overseen by the French telecom and postal regulator ARCEP.
