La Romana tourism sector signs collaboration agreements with SODOMEDI

The Association of Hotels La Romana Bayahibe (AHRB) and the La Romana Bayahibe Tourism Cluster (CTRB) have signed two collaboration agreements with the Dominican Society of Digital Media (SODOMEDI). These agreements aim to provide digital journalists and editors with access to specialized information, studies, and sources regarding the tourism development of the La Romana and Bayahibe destinations.

The collaboration includes at least one annual training session for digital media professionals, focusing on topics such as sustainability, data verification, and best practices in news coverage. It also establishes direct communication channels with tourism sector representatives and allows for participation in press conferences and site visits to tourism projects.

Andrés Fernández, president of both the AHRB and CTRB, emphasized that the cooperation must respect the editorial independence of each media outlet. The initiative seeks to improve the reporting of local initiatives related to environmental sustainability, accessibility, local talent training, and child protection.
