La Ruota della Fortuna undergoes band changes and record wins

The Italian game show ‘La Ruota della Fortuna’ is undergoing significant changes following the departure of Marco Galeone, the longtime singer and keyboardist for the resident band, the Fortuna Five. Galeone explained that the decision to leave was driven by the heavy workload—arranging up to 60 songs per week—which hindered his ability to pursue personal musical projects and tours. To fill the vacancy, the band has rebranded as the Fortuna Six, welcoming Alex Mandelli on vocals and guitar, along with keyboardist Luca Algisi.

In terms of viewership, recent Auditel data shows the program remains a competitive force in the access prime time slot, drawing approximately 426,700 viewers (22.7% share).

Additionally, the show recently celebrated a historic milestone with contestant Giulia Smargiassi, who set a new record for the highest winnings in the format's history, totaling 430,100 euros after a ten-episode winning streak.
