La Séptima to launch new Spanish television channel on November 5

La Séptima, a new private television channel, is scheduled to begin broadcasting on Spain's TDT network on November 5. The channel's programming will focus on current affairs, analysis, and opinion.

Sarah Santaolalla has been announced as a host for a daily weekday program featuring a debate panel of analysts and young profiles. The channel's editorial direction will be led by Javier Ruiz. The project is driven by José Miguel Contreras, a former executive at La Sexta.

The network has confirmed a team of 16 reporters to cover news across Spain, including professionals such as Gloria Mena, Carla Acuña, and Óscar Furones. In addition to news, the channel plans to include comedy programming, such as 'La Comedia Nacional' featuring Ignatius Farray, Mariang, and Marina Lobo.
