Palermo: Uruguayan national killed in suspected drug-related execution
In Buenos Aires, a Uruguayan national, Carlos Andrés Migales Viera, was shot and killed in his Palermo apartment during the early hours of Sunday. Investigators believe the attack was a targeted execution related to drug trafficking. Migales Viera, who had criminal records in Uruguay and was reportedly linked to the 'Los Puglia' clan, was killed in front of his family. Authorities noted that the attackers entered the residence without forcing the locks.
Police have detained several suspects and recovered a firearm equipped with a silencer near the scene. Forensic evidence, including bullets and cash, was collected from the apartment, which had been rented via Airbnb. The investigation is being handled by the National Criminal and Correctional Court No. 26, with authorities examining security footage to identify all participants in the raid.
Separately, in the Macarone neighborhood, a shooting incident resulted in a bullet striking a private residence on Bolívar Street. While the projectile passed through a window and hit an interior wall, the homeowner was not injured. Local police are investigating the circumstances of the gunfire in the residential area.
