Tatiana Clouthier launches new movement in Nuevo León

Tatiana Clouthier has announced the creation of a new political movement, ‘Todos con Conciencia’, following her exclusion from Morena’s leadership selection in Nuevo León. Clouthier, a former Secretary of Economy, criticized the party’s decision to designate Clara Luz Flores as the state coordinator for the Defense of the Transformation, stating that the choice ‘betrayed’ the movement’s values and did not represent the necessary leadership for the region.

Despite the rift within the local Morena structure, Clouthier reaffirmed her support for President Claudia Sheinbaum and the broader ‘Cuarta Transformación’ project. She emphasized that her new movement aims to transform Nuevo León through citizen participation rather than seeking public office.

This development occurs amid broader internal tensions within the ruling coalition. In other regions, the Labor Party (PT) has expressed dissatisfaction with Morena’s candidate selection processes, warning of potential fractures in the alliance if their concerns are not addressed. Meanwhile, in Guerrero, Félix Salgado Macedonio continues to hold independent assemblies despite Morena’s official candidate selection.
