Ladispoli Hosts “Mare Senza Barriere” Boat Event for People with Disabilities

On July 31, Ladispoli organized the first edition of “Mare Senza Barriere,” a day‑long inclusion initiative that placed 21 boats on the sea to give people with sensory disabilities the chance to experience the water. The event was coordinated by Marco Cecchini, delegate of Mayor Alessandro Grando, and was part of the “Ladispoli, una città che sa ascoltare” project.

Volunteers, local institutions, the Coast Guard, the Ladispoli Nautical and Fishing Club and sponsors provided free access to the fleet. Participants were taken on a guided tour that included a symbolic circle of boats around the Castello di Palo and a collective swim at Torre Flavia, followed by a buffet. Organisers thanked the captains, crane operators, volunteers and Tekneko, which cleaned the beach, highlighting the community effort behind the event.
