Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been involved in several administrative and civic engagements. In a message marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary, the Governor urged citizens to uphold patriotism, resilience, and social cohesion to drive national progress.
Addressing infrastructure and governance, the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch, Adeniyi Quadri, called on Sanwo-Olu to complete the Igbosere High Court Complex, which was destroyed in 2020, before the end of his term in May 2027. Additionally, the Governor charged public servants to enhance service delivery following the graduation of the second cohort of the Public Service Accelerator Programme.
On economic and security fronts, Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed his commitment to business growth and met with security chiefs to strengthen measures ahead of the end-of-year festivities. He also discussed the importance of robust financial structures for Africa’s capital markets, noting that technology must be supported by credible institutions and regulation to effectively connect real-world assets with investment capital.
