Lagos State Agency Seals 12 Businesses for Environmental Violations

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) sealed twelve establishments across Lagos after they repeatedly failed to meet environmental standards despite warnings and abatement notices. The sealed sites, located mainly in the Ijora Causeway and Apapa districts, include Helmar Building Materials, Laprivad Nigeria Ltd, Innocast Nigeria Ltd, Body Language Shipping and Cargo, Laodo Control Jetty, Adaps Nigeria Ltd, Kehdi Equipments Ltd, Bulus Hotel, Park Inn Hotel, Mandarin Supermarket, Hamada Enterprises and Infinity Pirelli Tyres.

LASEPA’s General Manager, Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, said the action underscores the agency’s commitment to protecting public health and preserving the environment, and warned that monitoring and enforcement will continue against any business whose activities endanger the community.
