Lahore Qalandars and UMT partner for cricket and education

Lahore Qalandars and the University of Management and Technology (UMT) have entered a three-year partnership to integrate professional cricket development with higher education. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana and UMT President Ibrahim Murad.

The initiative aims to provide young cricketers with a structured pathway that combines high-performance training with academic opportunities. Under the agreement, Lahore Qalandars will identify talented players and recommend them for admission and scholarship opportunities at UMT. This allows athletes to pursue professional sporting careers while gaining skills for life outside of cricket.

As part of the collaboration, Lahore Qalandars will provide professional expertise through coaching clinics and access to its High Performance Centre. This facility is expected to benefit both the franchise's players and members of the UMT cricket team.
